The process of acquiring new and repetitive business leads to new and untried experiences. The Internet for example, has many locations for a business owner to place their information in hopes of attracting new business. Google has been working towards improving their local business results listings for business owners.

This tool was rolled out several years ago (2006) and yet most businesses still have not capitalized on this free listing with Google. The listings themselves have been extremely successful in attracting new business for those companies lucky or should I say smart enough to utilize this tool.

The process is straight forward. Simply look your business up using Google Maps or Google Places. Once you have verified you are the owner or representative responsible for updating this information you can begin to modify or create your listing. I would recommend opening up the existing listings that are visible, they are usually listed from A – G. Once you have done this I would study each of the existing listings starting from the top. Pay close attention to what each have in common. This will give you an idea of what should be emulated and or duplicated.

There are certain factors that are a standard across each LBR listing that should be done properly in order for your listing to have a chance of getting listed on the first page of the keyword or key phrase for that which was searched.

Begin with the proper keyword selection. If your business and website sell products be sure and list each one of them. This will give your listing the ability to be shown when someone searches for that particular product in your city.

Keep in mind that as of right now Google deems your zip code to be an important factor when showing listings. They begin with downtown and branch out from there. Not to worry though, If your location is not in the downtown area just be sure to supplement additional information in other areas.

Reviews are proving to be a crucial part of your LBR listings and should be added to and acquired whenever possible. This will help your potential customers and clients by showing them others that have been satisfied by your service or products. I recommend putting something in place that will remind you to ask for a review by your customers. You can do this either on your website or in your store or business location.

There are many tips for updating and writing your LBR listing online, I would keep it simple. Complete your LBR listing 100% and add to it regularly and you will see positive results.

Google updates their LBR listings periodically so changing your listing every day or every week because you noticed a change in another listing will not help. In fact to do this may actually hurt your listing. I recommend a set schedule for updating your listing, this will over time allow you a reference of when Google updates your industry listings.

So go out now and claim you’re listing if you’ve not already done so and if you have go out and update it – You just might start attracting that part of the market you’ve been missing out on…

James Martinez
James Martinez

Many website owners develop a website with little or no knowledge of internet marketing and how to properly gain the exposure your business website needs to succeed online.

As a website owner you may understand what it takes to develop a highly effective, functional website to market your product or service. Unfortunately the development of your website is only half the process. You must now learn and come to understand how to market your website.

There are key factors which must be adhered to for your website to place well with any given keyword on any search engine.

Start with your webpage title. Be sure to incorporate your keyword into your page title. This will ensure keyword relevance to the search engines when their spiders or crawlers index your website.

Next, include no more than 10 keywords per page. Each keyword should be specific to each webpage it is placed on.

Your Meta description must include your keyword and work in conjunction with your title and keywords.

Finally be sure to develop industry relevant content that has your keywords placed within your content with no more than 7% keyword saturation.

By following these simple steps you will begin to see SEO results you may have not yet experienced. There are many more parts to the SEO process which must be done in order for you website to be visible on the first page of all the search engines. If this is what you must learn, Web Insite does provide SEO training that will ensure first page placement of your website in your industry/city. www.webinsiteinc.com

James Martinez

You just built your website. It’s taken you longer than expected and you’ve spent more time and money than you told yourself you were going to. Now it’s time to sit back and watch the money start rolling in right? I mean you really thought out how well your website would work when your clients navigate your site. You’ve made it easy for them to do business with you. Your shopping cart system looks great and you’ve tested and retested all your websites functionality and everything seams to work just the way you thought it would.

But, now it’s been weeks and your not getting any traffic to your website and even if you were getting traffic to your website you wouldn’t be able to tell, I mean you haven’t even installed tracking capabilities yet. You know your website is better than the competition sites you’ve been reviewing for the last couple of months but why isn’t anyone doing business with you yet?

The answer to that is, they haven’t seen or even heard of your website yet.

Most website owners have no idea what it takes to obtain first page placement through search engine optimization and marketing. While I’ll not go into an entire detailed description in this article I will touch base with several key factors that cause most companies to fail online. In my opinion it’s due to lack of knowledge and here are a couple of fixes that you might be missing.

The first and most important step is to install Google Analytics in your website code. If you unfamiliar with how to achieve this contact your developer or a website solutions company to assist you with this task and they can get this step done. The first thing you’ll need to do is create a Google account if you don’t already have one. You can do this if you have an email address somewhere. This step is for Google email verification and validation. Once they approve your account they will give you a piece of source code which must be placed in your website’s code in order for Google to track your site.

Next, you’ll want to be sure to make each web page relevant to itself. That is to say, make sure your title matches your keywords, description, Htags, content; all your Meta’s and is specific per page and per keyword. The reason for this is to ensure each page does not look like any other page on your site or the internet for that matter. That will automatically help your site to improve your search engine standings.

Lastly, you’ll need to submit. Now I’m not talking about some kind of compromising position, but search engine submission. That is, turning your website code over to the major search engines. Kind of like turning your homework in after you’ve completed your assignment. You spent all this time and money working out your site just the way you wanted it, you may as well share it with everyone right. Here’s an easy one, go to http://freewebsubmission.com and follow the instructions. At the very least you’ll be indexed online by the search engines and that’s a good start.
These steps plus what your internet Website Solutions Company you hired plans to make to your website will put you company website where it needs to be, in the front of the major search engines. Web Insite Inc. is extremely proficient with performing SEO and can gladly get your website to the front of every major search engine for any keyword.

The next time you check out your website be sure it stands up to the SEO test.

Does your website get the traffic it needs?
Is your traffic converting to sales?
Can you track your traffic?
Does your website have a call to action?
Are your potential customers leaving before they do business with you?
Is your website code specific per page per keyword?

If you answer no to any of these questions, I would strongly recommend looking into a website solutions company to assist you with your online marketing.

Thank you and God Bless,
James Martinez
Web Insite Inc.
www.webinsiteinc.com
James Martinez

Proper style coding, the amount of content and the amount of links your website has.

It all begins with the type and style of your website code:

Start by analyzing your websites initial code. That is, look at the head of the code. Make sure that it has the proper title, keywords, description, alt tags, meta tags, H tags and content all relevant to one another.

Once your code looks good then comes the next task of making it relevant to your actual page. Search Engines look down on pages that do not express what is in this first part of the code. Once you have completed the task proof it, ensuring every page is different from one another and all relevant to the specific page designed.

Next step is the content:

You may have heard this somewhere, Content is King. Well for the most part, it is true. Content is another crucial piece of the online puzzle of SEO. The reason being, if you create the most amazingly aesthetically eye-pleasing site in the world and it does not express itself accordingly then for what was the purpose of its creation to begin with.

Content written properly can tell your potential customers or clients to take specific action or better still do business with your company. Good copy writing can sell your product or service with a few well placed paragraphs depicting your business. The first step is to research your products/service and either express yourself great or hire a company to express your opinions for you.

Now the more content your website has the more opportunity you have to express yourself to your public. In this part of the puzzle, your next step is to increase your websites visibility and this can be done by giving yourself more places to be viewed. That is the more pages your website speaks about your product/services the better chance you have to reach your target audience.

Create as many possible pages as you can to depict your product/service that reflects your website. This will give your website more of a competitive edge over your competition.

Last piece of the puzzle:

Perhaps you may have visited a site that is at the top of the organic search results. Did you ever notice what they all have in common? They all have numerous amounts of links into their website. This is one of the most crucial components to the SEO puzzle.

There are a number of ways a website owner can achieve a large amount of one-way links flowing into their website, start by analyzing your competition. Yahoo has a tool that allows you to view the links associated with a particular website. (http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com) Simply type in the website in question and view the links your competition has in place already. Then go through them and determine if your website can obtain a link back to its self.

You need to focus on a couple of key points when acquiring links and they are quality and inbound. Preferably, one-way links, so they link to you and you do not have to link back. This kind of link is seen more as an endorsement rather than a two-way link, which is seen more as a commercial transaction.

So how do you get one-way quality inbound links?

To be honest, it is a simple process yet will take time and you will want it to take time. Having no links one day and have 2,000 links the next does not look natural to any search engine and could flag your site as a spamming site. Use the four techniques below to drive links to your site slowly. Make sure you do all four techniques, as in this way, you will be building a huge array of links for different sources. Some of these sources will take on a life of their own and you will start to get links automatically.

Technique 1

One of the best ways to get quick inbound links and traffic is to write and submit articles to Article Directory sites. There are many sites, which are set up just to collect content. They allow visitors to copy the content and use it on their own websites.

You will add a resource box at the bottom of each article and it is here that you will be able to add links directly to your site. Normally you can have two links so use one for the home page and one for a product page. Keep them relevant to your business.

There are literally hundreds of article databases on the web where you can submit articles too. There are even tools to do this automatically for you.

Technique 2

Press Releases are a great way of getting inbound one-way links for Newswires and Google News may pick it up. You will not only get inbound links but real traffic directly from the stories you publish.

The best places to start submitting Press Releases is to PRWeb, PRnewswire, PRlog, PR.com, Marketwire, & PRnewswire

Technique 3

Submitting your site to Web Directories, these are a great way of building inbound links. Some charge a fee and some are free. For fee paying links, pay to be listed in the Yahoo! Directory. You can easily find hundreds of directories relevant to your site by searching Google. All the links for Web Directories will link to your home page but still mix up the link text. This works better than anything else works and shows you are building links naturally.

God Bless,

James Martinez

Web Insite, Inc.

www.webinsiteinc.com

Blog Information Profile for webinsiteinc

James Martinez

The first of which is an analytics tool to incorporate into your websites code.

If you are unfamiliar with analytics, Analytics are the methods for analytical analysis for your websites marketing. This is extremely important because when you familiarize yourself with your client’s moves and actions on your website you can find out exactly what’s working and what not, thus allowing for increasing your websites method for attracting new and potential clients.

Google analytics, gives you the ability to track and view your potential customers every move on your site and fine tune it to capitalize on their visits.

Not only does it give you as a website owner the ability to view your visitors, traffic sources and content. You also have the ability to set goals for your website. Simply create a Google account if you do not have one yet and upon logging into Google simply click on the webmaster tools.

Inside this tool page you will have the option to generate an analytics code to be placed upon your websites code. With new applications and outlets being released every week it’ hard to know who to go with and where start.

As an online marketer you must first understand that every social media outlet operates with the same goal in mind, to get you to register and utilize their portal, thus increasing their ability to sell themselves to advertisers and so on. The good news here is that it doesn’t cost you a thing to sign up for an account and get your business on its way to marketing itself online. It may take several minutes signing up for a new account and some outlets such as Facebook cater directly to the business owner but let me tell you it’s worth your time and effort.

The number of people and businesses utilizing social media networks is expect to reach 1 Billion by the year 2012. It’s said 1 out of every 6 people will be using some form of media outlet to network within the next 5 years. This means that if you don’t have an account you’re missing out on the many opportunities for you and your business to gain exposure online and drive traffic to your site.

The idea behind creating an account and maintaining it could seem overwhelming at first. How am I going to run my business and keep up with my networking needs? Who’s going to program this thing? Or I’m not sure how to update and work it? It’s simple really, each outlet has a step by step instruction for getting started. Allocate yourself a few extra minutes a day to stop by your account and make a quick update. Spend a few extra minutes fooling around with your social media outlet and get yourself familiar with what functions it has to offer and how to make it work for you.

Let people know what’s going on in your business world today and you may be surprised to see what a little bit of micro-blogging can achieve for your businesses online exposure.

James Martinez - Web Insite, Inc.
James Martinez

A game not very many people in the industry truly understand.

How do you get people or even better yet potential customers to see your site? The answer is optimization. Search Engine Optimization is the most important aspect to any website when pertaining to its searchability.

Search engines find information online and index that information for future reference. So in theory if you make your site informative and relevant it should automatically rank high. The only problem is that everyone else with a website in your industry had the same idea.

So now you’re stuck in the back like everyone else. You have a great product or service and a great website but no one will ever know about you online, unless you decide to improve your websites visibility by using SEO to help market your site.

SEO or Search Engine Optimization works by incorporating a number of aspects of the sites code to work together in a smooth and transitional method.

When a website is indexed or crawled the search engine looks for a number of different variables that intern tells it that your site is better than every other site with similar content or relevancy. If certain criteria are met then your site will automatically be more relevant than the next competitor thus putting your business ahead of the rest.

It is always best to keep your site updated with information that is relative to your industry and to frequently update your website links. This will help with your sites ranking and placement on the organic search engines.

James Martinez
ATX Web-Insite
James Martinez

Make sure you trust the company you hired to represent your company’s interest in the best possible fashion.

2. Be sure to check previous references and or designs. This will give you a better understanding of their design capabilities.

3. Make sure the company you hire adheres to design and development standards and ethics. The last thing you want is a website that looks exactly like another. Be original.

4. Be leery of any company who request to paid all in advance. If the company or developer believes in his or her work they will only ask for half up front and half upon completion.

    5. Make sure the developer or company you hire can complete your site in the timeframe that is discussed.

6. Be sure your developer is using up to date methods and techniques. There are many websites that are still being developed in an old fashion manner. This will help your site to be crawled and indexed by the major search engines.

7. Be leery of any company that claims to give you something for free. Business is business and anyone showing or telling you something to good to be true, probably is telling you something that is too good to be true.

8. Customer service. Make sure your developer of company you hire has some sort of customer service, and at the very least make sure you can stay in contact. Many projects fail or fall through because of lack of communication.

9. Make sure you and your company will own the files of the complete website when the design is completed. Many companies are at the will of their designers if their sites are not fully owned and kept by the company purchasing the website.

10.Make sure the developer of company you hire can perform updates, changes, fixes or alteration with little or no ease. That away you can keep your focus on what it is you’re doing, running your business.

James Martinez - ATX Web Insite
James Martinez

This article is for those of you who plan on having your own site someday but are not sure where to begin.

The trinity:

First you must register your domain name. A domain name is also called a URL address, website address or registrar name. I would suggest coming up with a name that is either very close to your business name or very close to where you are planning on doing business. Try to avoid a long name or handle. The last thing someone searching for your website wants to do is type in a difficult word or acronym to find it.

There are a number of locations that provide domain name registration. Here are a few. Domain.com, registrar.com, register.com, mydomain.com etc… Most of these sites will give you a good deal on registering your domain name for a number of years.

Secondly you must obtain a host for your site. A host is a company that stores or holds your website files for the internet to access. There are a number of hosting companies out there. For example Godaddy.com, 1and1.com, bluehost.com, hostmonster.com etc… Be sure when you decide upon your host they don’t get over on you because you’re not sure what you need. I recommend researching what your website needs in order to perform properly then decide which host to go with. This will save you money in the long run.

Third and lastly, you will need to choose someone to design or develop your website. Make sure if you’re having your site custom developed that you choose a development company that can perform exactly what you need. A website is more than just code. It is an extension of your business, and like anything in business should be done correctly and thought through. You shouldn’t have to have your site redesigned if it’s done properly the first time.

ATX Web Insite offers turnkey solutions for your internet need.

Call us today @ 512-803-4122

James Martinez

Yes, you know who I’m talking about. These are the people out there who have no concept of what it means and how long it actually takes to get the code in place for that particular feature to be expressed visually.

Business owner’s who hope to obtain a website understand that website’s are a fact of business and that they need one. What they don’t sometimes understand is that it takes time and effective communication of what exactly they would like their site to look like and how they would like it to function in order for this to happen effectively and efficiently.

Some website’s cost more than others because they have more functionality than other’s do, for example, let’s say you would like your website to be able to capture information via a form that works in real time and updates itself with your businesses server in order to keep track of clients who have scheduled an appointment with your office. A website with a feature like this is going to cost significantly more than a website that is merely a business card online with maybe two or three pages signifying who, what, and where your business is.

The reason for this is the first website not only has to be programmed in a visual way, but they also have to program for functionality which requires a completely different type of programming code than the first part of the design and of course is going to take more time to complete. So there are many considerations which must take place and discussed before the very first keystroke can be made.

All I’m saying is that before you get upset with your developer or designers try and understand what exactly it is that you’re asking of them. Now put yourself in their shoes, and ask yourself how would you deal with a client or customer who has neither patience, nor understanding of your work and is asking the impossible from you. As an owner of a business website it is your responsibility to acquaint yourself with the realistic timeframe and costs associated with what exactly your website will be.

James Martinez
CEO & Founder
WWW.ATXWeb-Insite.com
James Martinez

Most business owners who have been in business for some time and who own websites may be familiar with the term, however, those new to business have no idea of just what exactly search engine optimization means or can do for their site.

A well known fact of business is that advertising is necessary to inform the public of the services or products that your business offers. There are many different forms of advertising, whether it be print, radio, TV, or online. Search Engine Optimization should be looked upon as a form of advertising for your website.

There are, however, many different variables that encompass search engine optimization which must be placed and done correctly in order for them to work properly. For example google has over 100 different variables which must be placed properly in your websites code in order for your site to rank higher under the organic listings than the competition. The proper title of your website pages, the proper number of keywords placed on each page, the type of code your page has been programmed with, meta-tags, and even the number of active links to your site and what page they link to, I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the point.

In my opinion Search Engine Optimization should be an integral part of every website, and it is for every site we at ATXWeb-Insite design or update. Some companies may claim to be able to do search engine optimization we, however, have a 100 percent success rate of getting all our clients on the very first page of every major search engine in the number 1 or 2 spot. I know your probably thinking that's a bold statement, well we can back it up.

How many times have you gone to the Internet and looked for a service or a product and honestly looked past the first two pages? Probably very few, my point is if your going to have a website on the Internet shouldn't it be in the place where everyone looks. So the next time you look at your website and wonder why its not on the front page when you type in a keyword for your industry remember you could be doing business with people who are actually looking for what it is you offer, if only they would have found you first.

James Martinez
Founder & CEO
WWW.ATXWeb-Insite.com
James Martinez
